I am so excited to have you in my classroom this year!!!

Hi! My name is Dawn Corbett; this is my Ninth year as a Silo Rebel Elementary Teacher. My homeroom is 5th Grade; I  teach 5th Language Arts and Writing and Pre-K thru 5th Virtual Distance Learning.

I earned my bachelor's degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. I have continued my education through Chadron State College and Rasmussen taking various classes. I have been in education for 20 years. I began my teaching career in the Elem. Library, continued in MS/HS Alternative Educ., and 6th Reading/Writing at Kingston Public Schools in Kingston, OK. I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Special Education at Douglas ISD in Douglas, WY; and I’ve taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade PE, and worked in MS/HS Special Educ. classroom at Bennington ISD, in Bennington, OK.

I have 3 wonderful children and 7 even more wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy reading, writing, teaching, and spending time with my family and friends.
