Silo Students Compete at the Murray State College Scholastic Meet

Silo students competed in the 45th Annual Invitational Scholastic contest at Murray State College on March 9th.  Students are selected by their teachers to enter the annual curriculum contest each year.  Contest include exams and contests in several academic categories including: Accounting, Agriculture Business, Algebra I, Algebra II, American Government, American History, American Literature, Anatomy And Physiology (Human), Art Portfolio, Behavioral Science, Business Math, Calculus, Chemistry, Child Development, Computer Fundamentals, Current Events, English Literature, Expository Writing (Div. I & II), Expository Writing (Div. III & IV), General Biology, General Science, Geometry, Library Skills, Music, Oklahoma History, Oklahoma Wildlife Identification, PowerPoint Presentation (Div. I & II), PowerPoint Presentation (Div. III & IV), Physics, Spanish, Spreadsheet Applications (All Divisions), Trigonometry, Vocabulary, Vocal Performance, World Geography, And World History.  The senior who ranks highest overall in each test category – all divisions combined – is offered a scholarship to Murray State College for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Silo students who were selected and competed in the contest were:  Ethan Wilkerson, Austin Garrison, Avery Beauchamp, Balynn Snapp, Brynnan Kirk, Cezar Salinas, Christian Vining, Ehtan Murphy, Hayden Reeve, John Poling, Kayla Poling, Khloe Dunegan, Kyla Callahan, Landon Brewer, Makayla Clark, Ryleigh Pierce, and Shawn Weaver.

Silo students who placed in the top 10 are:

Ethan Wilkerson placed 1st in American Government.

Avery Beauchamp placed 2nd in Spreadsheet Applications.

John Poling placed 3rd in Business Math.

Cezar Salinas placed 5th in Spanish.

Ethan Murphy placed 6th in Physics.

Christian Vining placed 7th in Accounting.

Ryleigh Pierce placed 8th in PowerPoint Presentation.

Kyla Callahan placed 9th in Oklahoma History.

John Poling placed 9th in World Geography.
