    Fall Carnival returns after two years

The Silo Fall Carnival is right around the corner! It begins on October 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria, elementary gym, and the early childhood center.

This year’s fall carnival is coming back with games, food, the same old fun and costumes (which are optional). The fall carnival is hosted by grades pre-K through 12th and their respective teachers and students. All should contribute. Students are responsible for finding ways to bring and provide prizes through sponsors or their own money.

The Silo Fall Carnival has been going on since the beginning of the establishment of Silo Schools. It had been canceled for two years straight in 2020-2021 due to COVID. This is the first year back from, so they are expecting a rowdy crowd and lots of fun. When it comes to the games in this carnival, the most popular normally would end up being bingo hosted by the junior class and the cake walk game hosted by the sophomores. All the games usually have a price of two to four tickets. The elementary will normally hold their games in the little gym and the high school in the cafeteria.

In terms of clothing and such, there is no theme so students and teachers are welcome to bring whatever they please, such as costumes. Now we all have to eat of course, so as a result there will be a concession stand in the cafeteria run by the seniors. Silo FFA will also be selling food so do not be scared to go up to them! Everyone feel free to go up and buy snacks or drinks to keep you busy if needed. We all love the fall carnival and it shows, because Silo has had this an annual event (but two) since 1971. 

Prizes normally range from game to game, but in games like bingo it will range from things like stuffed animals to work tools. With all this being said, you are encouraged to come and enjoy yourselves or the kids. This is a time of fun and good vibes! Please act civil but do not be afraid to socialize and have some fun!
